The Director of Shahid Bahonar and East Hormozgan Ports announced the docking of two vessels—a bulk carrier and a gas ship—at the port’s docks. Recently, a large bulk carrier with a capacity of 46,000 tons docked at Shahid Bahonar Port. The bulk carrier, which measures 186 meters in length and has a maximum draft of 11 meters, completed its loading operations in about 10 days and has since departed for its destination.
Additionally, the port loaded 40,000 tons of sulfur onto this vessel. Shahid Bahonar Port, with a draft of 11.5 meters, can accommodate various types of ships except for container vessels.
Alongside the bulk carrier, a liquefied gas ship also docked at one of the port’s oil terminals. This ship, 87 meters long with an exit draft of 6.5 meters, has a capacity of 3,500 tons of liquefied gas.
Following the departure of these ships, more vessels are scheduled to dock at Shahid Bahonar Port. This multi-purpose port, one of the oldest and most active in Hormozgan province and Iran, plays a significant role in the export of both oil and non-oil products, as well as in domestic and international cargo and passenger transport.
